Scalloped Oak Moth (Crocallis elinguaria) trapped in a Kelvindale garden, taken by David Palmar. During their larval stage they feed on a variety of broadleaved trees. These include Common Oak (Quercus robur), Downy Birch (Betula pubescens), Silver Birch (Betula pendula), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna).
