Green-veined White butterfly (Pieris napi) on Ragged Robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi), Bay of Laig, Cleadale, Eigg. A common butterfly preferring damp areas, the Green-veined White can be identified by its prominent greenish veins on the white/yellow hind wing. The upper wings have one or more dark spots.

Colour-ringed Choughs (Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax) red, white over blue (R W/B), red, green over orange (R G/O) and green over orange, white (G/O, W), Ardnave, Islay. R W/B is a female, born in 2006 and lived till the age of 4 in 2010, raising a total of 6 chicks in 2009 and 2010. R G/O is a male ringed as a chick in 2006. he is the longest living Chough in my photos, surviving to at least the age of 12 in 2018, and may still be alive. He bred in 2009-2013, and again in 2015-18, raising 26 chicks to fledging. R W/B and R G/O formed a pair who bred together in 2009 and 2010.
