Swifts in Flight - click each thumbnail to to see a larger version
The swifts where colours (or shades of grey!) are visible were shot in the morning, and those in silhouette in the evening.
At both times, they gather and swirl around screaming. All photos are cropped from originals of 12 megapixels, shot from a distance, which are mostly sky, but 6 megapixels are usable - there are plenty of pixels to crop portrait or landscape.
